Galleries: Rapha Womens 100
July 26th marked the Rapha Women’s 100 2015, a challenge for female cyclists across the world to cycle 100km. The event has had a great presence on social media and some brilliant photos have been taken from around the world. It feels great that this has taken place in so many countries, on the same day and to include so many female riders. Some rode solo, some rode in a group but all taking part in rides of 100km or more on the same day. Here in the UK it poured with rain all day, not stopping for longer than half an hour but this didn’t stop many riders still.
I wanted to pull together some of the photographs from across the world and have found some great shots. They all show female cyclists on the road out there and taking part. It’s an exciting time for women’s cycling, with higher profile pro cycling events taking place and more women from all backgrounds deciding to pick up a bike and get out there.
I hope you are as inspired as I am with some of these photos, I have really enjoyed putting together this gallery.
Thank you to all contributors.
